We were instructed by the co-founders of a company who sought to develop an assistive technology mobile application aimed at the deaf and hard of hearing community. We prepared a successful innovator visa application which showcased and demonstrated the strong innovative value of this business.
Westkin Associates represented the Co-founders of a cosmetics business who are citizens of Hong Kong. The business explores the use of proteins in cosmetics and seeks to revolutionise who whole way sustainable cosmetics are sold.

We were approached a Singer- Songwriter’s management company in the UK, following previous immigration advice given both on personal and corporate matters.
They wanted to find a way for the Singer Songwriter to be able to reside in the UK and work on her music as she was unable to do this as a visitor and was restricted regarding the permitted activity and time she could spend in the UK at a time. We explored various options and settled on the Global Talent visa route as being most appropriate. It was important for the client that she was able to be in the UK for performances she had booked.
We assessed the Singer Songwriters credentials in line with the Arts Council requirements and advised on documentation required. The documentation was then assessed, and amendments made in line with her advice to ensure it was sufficient for assessment. The endorsement was approved within 2 weeks for Exceptional Talent, and we then submitted her visa application within the 3 month window of validity following successful endorsement. The visa was successfully approved.

We were instructed by one of Europe’s largest concert organisers of Asian talent that organise events for well-known Asian artists. Westkin were first instructed in 2018 in response to a licence suspension due to compliance breaches of the company’s Tier 5 Sporting and Creative Licence. The licence suspension was particularly serious, having breached multiple reporting duties, offered Tier 5 sponsorship to long-term job roles, not paid employees in accordance with the relevant SOC Code, and paid sponsored workers in cash.
Represented by Westkin Associates, the company had their licence reinstated and the client was advised accordingly regarding long-term compliance requirements. We further assisted the client with a Tier 2 (General) sponsor licence and the relevant CoSs and visas required for the relevant roles which had previously contributed to the licence suspension, having been incorrectly sponsored under Tier 5. We additionally assisted the client in adding other linked entities as branches to the existing licence, which were approved without any subsequent compliance visits.
Since re-instatement of the licence, the company have continued to instruct Westkin for ongoing advice, notably assistance using the SMS system and ongoing compliance related issues.

The company required a sponsor licence, having been unable to identify anyone in the UK to lead a high-level marketing role. We advised and assisted the company in preparation for the sponsorship licence application, advising the company of all necessary compliance matters and preparation of supporting documents.
The licence was granted, and we assisted with the subsequent CoS and visa application. Furthermore, we were instructed by the company’s director on his personal investor visa in order that he could reside in the UK and undertake active involvement in his company.
The company were identified for a compliance visit during processing, and we provided detailed training and preparation for the visit. Following the visit, the licence was granted, and we assisted with the subsequent CoS and visa application.
The company have since instructed on an additional CoS and visa application for a new role created due to the company’s ongoing expansion.
Furthermore, we were instructed by the company’s director on his personal investor visa in order that he could reside in the UK and undertake active involvement in his company. The director relied on overseas investment funds, which required complex representations to evidence the source of funds to a standard accepted by the Home Office, particularly during a period when the government were already beginning to scrutinise investor applications prior complete closure of the route. The director was granted his visa.
